This Christmas break has been a little more laid-back than last year, because it was a fairly small Christmas. My cousin came in to visit, and he was the only family member that came here. We all cooked a delicious Christmas dinner. I made sweet potatoes, fruit salad, and old-fashioned gingerbread. Most of my presents were gift cards to my favorite stores, candy, and other things I wanted like a big teacup and a new watch. On Christmas Eve I visited with my best friend who hid my presents in his Christmas tree and made me hunt for them. It was so sweet and so much fun. At the end, I found a card under the tree skirt, and he asked me to be his girlfriend officially. So I also got my love back for Christmas. :)
I have been working on cleaning up my mess of a room and selling my things on eBay since I have very little money. Last night I went to dinner with my boyfriend and best friend to our favorite restaurant to play trivia. We, Team HUGE, were winning trivia at halftime, but we ended up losing. Then we went to get ice cream right as the shop was closing, so we weren't allowed to sit inside to eat our ice cream. We jumped into the backseat of my boyfriend's car, which is very similar to a cozy couch, and listened to Christmas music while we ate ice cream. Then we went to my boyfriend's house and played an Xbox game and watched Goosebumps episodes all night. I love nights like those.
I am both looking forward to and not looking forward to starting school in a week and a half. I am so excited to get my degree in May, but I know this semester is going to be really hard to pull through due to just wanting to be done. I know I will do it and do a good job, but I also know it's going to take a lot of self control to stay off the internet and study instead. I am really excited to start my internship at the end of January. I also need a part-time job so I can afford gas for my car and food if I want to eat off campus. It's going to be hard to find something to fit my schedule, though.
Today I am going to list a few more items on eBay, probably watch a movie at home, and visit with my boyfriend later.
Until next time,
me.
